3M ™ Scotch-Weld ™ hot melt adhesives develop good strengths without chemically changing the materials. Use these adhesives e.g. B. when bonding wood, cardboard, cork, leather, rubber, textiles, plastics, ceramics, glass and metal. For hot melt adhesives, different adhesive technologies are used depending on the application: 'Low-Melt' types are applied at a melting temperature of 120 ° C to 130 ° C. There is less risk of burns - there is no discoloration, no shrinkage and no warping of the materials. The development of steam and smell is minimal. 'Low-Melt' adhesives are particularly suitable for temperature-sensitive materials such as Styropor® and thermoplastic films. 'Hot-Melt' types, on the other hand, are processed at a melting temperature of 170 ° C to 200 ° C. With both adhesive technologies, you can also perfectly fill or fill cavities or joints.
