3M 4918F is a very highly transparent 3M™ VHB™ high-performance tape for very high bonds. Suitable for glass, transparent plastics, plexiglass.

Colours: highly transparent

Carrier: acrylic foam

Adhesive: acrylic

Liner: red foil, both sides siliconized

Total thickness: 2,0 mm

Adhesion: 65,00 N/25 mm at 20° C

Temperature resistance: -35° C / +90° C, short periods +150° C

Hints:
The 3M™ VHB™ high-performance connection system offers optimal adaptability to the surfaces to be bonded. This feature enables both thin and structured surfaces to be connected over the full area without tension. These high-performance adhesive tapes are also characterized by good impact resistance at minus temperatures and good plasticizer resistance. In addition, these products are particularly characterized by their very high transparency. They show good resistance to yellowing under the influence of UV and to many chemicals and have good resistance to aging and weathering. The product is particularly suitable for bonding highly transparent materials such as glass and some transparent plastics. There is no stress corrosion cracking on plastics.

Applications:
Süecially for bonding of glass, transparent plastics (e.g. advertising letters made of Plexiglas®), cast resin panes and everywhere where high transparency is important.
